Nina Kupzig

About me

I am a teaching assistant and PhD candidate in economics at the Ruhr-University Bochum (RUB). My supervisor is Prof. Matthias Busse. My main field is development economics. My research is focused on Sub-Saharan Africa where I investigate microeconomic foundations of economic growth. I am especially interested in the role of infrastructure (e.g., electricity connections and reliability) and institutions. Further, I am interested in environmental topics (e.g. climate change and environmental pollution) in development countries.

Currently, I am a guest researcher at the RWI -Leibniz Institute for Economic Research in the Department Climate Change and Development.
